Portrait of Augustus.
Genstandsbeskrivelse
The bust represents Augustus Gajus Julius Caesar Octavianus (63 B.C.E.-14 C.E.), the later Roman emperor, Augustus (27 B.C.E.-14 C.E.). His hair is arranged in wavy locks, and his forehead is flattened with a central, horizontal line indicated. The eyebrows and eyelids are heavy. His nose is slightly fragmented, but straight. Contours are visible around the mouth. His ears and chin are slightly protruding. His neck is long.
