Fragment of funerary stele.

Resumé

The stele is made of white marble, and is broken above and below. Traces of red paint can be seen with the naked eye on the base line of the relief. The stele has been examined with Visible Induced Luminescence, but there were no traces of Egyptian blue.

Genstandsbeskrivelse

Two warriors in profile. In front, the lower part of a naked warrior sitting on his haunches and protected by a round shield. The back is seen in three-quarter profile. He has a sword hanging at his side and holds a long spear in his dropped right hand. Behind him is a warrior of whom no more is preserved than two feet and the left knee. Both are facing left.
