Resumé

The relief fragment is made of white marble. There are small damages on the surface and the acroteria, and the elbow of the standing woman is chipped off. Traces of red paint can be seen with the naked eye on the woman’s dress to the right.

Genstandsbeskrivelse

In a naiskos two women are seen. To the right a sitting woman wearing chiton and himation the edge of which she holds in her right hand. Her hair is worn in a bun at the back of and is confined in a fillet. To the left a standing girl with her left hand under the cheek, the elbow supported by the right hand in a gesture of mourning. She wears a long-sleeved garment and has her hair in a kerchief, and she is probably the maid. Chairelea is written on the architrave.
