Genstandsbeskrivelse

The portrait bust represents Tiberius Iulius Caesar Augustus (42 B.C.E.-37 C.E.), emperor of Rome from 14 C.E. to 37 C.E.. The portrait type is the so-called “Adoption-type”. His hair is arranged in wide, wavy locks and the forehead is flattened. The eyebrows are wide, and the eyelids are heavy. His nose is straight and wide with indication of nostrils. Contours are indicated around the nose and mouth. The mouth is small, and the chin is slightly protruding with a small depression in the middle. His ears are slightly protruding and the neck is long.
